How do I submit a basic 3D print request?

Here’s a step-by-step walkthrough.

Step 1

Log in to the Innovation Center Management Platform (or ICMP) here: http://ter.ps/icmp. Clicking the green Login button will redirect you to CAS to authenticate.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see the below screen.

Step 2

Read the notices, and then click on the New Print newprinticon icon in the upper left corner. You’ll be taken to the print request form.

Step 3

Fill out the print request form with a Project Name, optionally include a Deadline, optionally include a preferred Filament Color, and upload a .stl (STL) file. If you have any additional information you’d like us to know, please provide that information under the Instructions and Notes section of the request form.

In the Notes section, please provide the dimensions of your part just in case we need them. Your part should be in mm format. This will speed up the print process in the event your parts dimensions are off (e.g. if you accidentally export in inches instead of mm).

Note: While the platform will allow uploads of .makerbot files, our technicians will not move forward with the request unless they receive a .stl file. We do not allow users to pre-slice jobs at this time.

Step 4

Check the request details and click Confirm. You’ll receive an email when your request is approved and an additional email when your print is finished.
